Schools To Get New Roofs
In the past 12 months, there have been two major weather events with high winds that damaged the roofs in the Twin Cedars School District. The district's insurance company investigated the damage and determined the loss is covered by insurance. Last week, an agent from the insurance company and representatives from two roofing companies were on site to review the damage and gather information to prepare a quote to replace the damaged roofs. Their quotes were submitted to the board, and at the June board meeting Hopkins Roofing was selected to complete the project. The entire roof of the JH/HS building will be completely removed and replaced, as well as the roof on the elementary gym. Work is set to begin soon and will take a couple of months to complete. There will not be an interruption to school activities or services, and school will begin as scheduled this fall.
