2nd Grade was able to see a Halo around the Sun at their lunchtime recess.

The Creative Writing class turned breakfast into a full-blown storytelling adventure! Students dreamed up their own cereal brands—from Cafe Crisps (Yes, coffee-flavored cereal!) to Creepy Crawly Crunchers, Secret in a Box, and even 3AM Chicken (Yes, with gravy!) cereal. They didn’t just stop there, but they brought them to life with original commercials that were as bold as the flavors. Who knows… we might just be witnessing the birth of the next big cereal company!

1st Grade TCATS used the story Mystery Sounds to perform as a Reader's Theatre to share with their classmates. Abel was the Narrator, Reggie was James and Emily was Bella. (James and Bella heard noises coming from the kitchen and decided their mom was making them a snack. They listened carefully and realized it was POPCORN!!) After their performance they shared popcorn with their 1st grade classmates! Hats off to the 1st grade TCATS and their classmates. Good reading and respectful listeners!

Grumpy Cat is an American Internet celebrity cat made famous by her permanently grumpy facial features. Students listened to the story The Little Grumpy Cat That Wouldn't and they also watched a video about her. Her real name was Tarder Sauce and she has gained over 8.3 million likes on Facebook and over 2 million followers on Instagram. She has been featured in film, video games, and even a book series. The 6th grade Grumpy Cats turned out great!

4th grade student Emmett was excited to receive his Trail Mail back this morning!
Emmett designed a picture that was carried by the dog sled team of Matt Hall/Silver Ace Kennel during the 2025 Iditarod! We had fun in library following the journey of Matt and Emmett's picture on the 1128 mile journey from Fairbanks to Nome. Congrats Matt on your 3rd place finish, and thank you for getting Emmett's picture safely across the finish line!
