Due to the road conditions we are cancelling open campus for today (Thursday, December 12th). All Juniors and Seniors will need to stay at the school over the lunch period.

Twin Cedars CSD is looking for a daytime custodian! The hours will be 6:00am-2:30pm Tuesday-Friday (unless school is in session on a Monday). If you are interested please fill out the application attached and return it to Michael Lenger (mlenger@twincedarscsd.org).
After reading Ray Bradbury's classic short story "A Sound of Thunder," the 9th-grade class tapped into their creativity and designed time travel brochures that showcased their imaginative takes on exploring the past or future. Several students proudly shared their work, impressing us all with their artistic and persuasive designs. Who knows, Twin Cedars could be home to the next professional brochure designer!

Starting Tuesday, December 10th, Mr Diaz will be opening up the weight room from 6:30 - 7:30 am for the strength and conditioning club. It will be open to all 7-12 students Tuesday through Thursday. There will be pre-planned workouts. Make sure you wear proper workout clothing. (No open toed shoes, shoes should have laces over the bridge of foot, no jeans)
Storybook Players from the Oskaloosa School District came to the elementary to present their skits to our students.
There will be NO drama practice this morning, 12/5! Practice for Friday morning, 12/6, is still on.

Reminder:
In Memory of David Weeks…. As most of you know David was a student at Twin Cedars and we lost him due to cancer on April 24, 2023. Mrs Davis would like to do something very special to keep David’s memory going! She will be collecting supplies in her classroom beginning Tuesday November 5th until Thursday December 12th for the Marion County Humane Society. Everyone that knew David knew his love for animals, especially dogs. Her plan is to deliver to the Humane Society on Friday, December 13, which would've been David’s 18th birthday. She is hoping that this is successful and she’d love to keep this going for years to come.
FFA fundraiser items will be delivered today! Everything must be picked up by 5:30pm!
